The Chogoria–Sirimon route combination on Mount Kenya is widely regarded as one of the most scenic trekking experiences on the mountain. The journey begins through the lush forests of Chogoria, gradually ascending past waterfalls, Lake Ellis, and the dramatic landscapes of Gorges Valley.
Trekkers eventually reach the alpine zone at Minto’s Camp, the base for summit attempts. The descent via the Sirimon route provides a gentler trail through moorlands and montane forest. With spectacular views of Batian and Nelion, along with a breathtaking sunrise from Point Lenana (4,985 m), this 5-day trek offers the perfect blend of adventure, challenge, and natural beauty.
